Château La Vieille Cure 2010 : 91-93

This American-owned estate has been on a qualitative roll for over a decade and the 2010 should rival their 2005 and 2009 as one of the finest wines La Vieille Cure has made. The dense plum/ruby/purple-tinged 2010 exhibits beautiful notes of kirsch liqueur, black currants, licorice and forest floor. Lovely texture and purity, medium to full body and superb fruit intensity result in a gorgeous wine that will be accessible early, but capable of lasting 10-15 years. Drink 2011 - 2026

Muscular and also sweet with a lovely completeness that is rare in Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. Slightly dry finish but a good wine ! Should be GV.

Ma meilleure note donnée à ce cru en primeur. Quel succès !
Couleur sombre, belle. Nez fruité, fumé, chaleurux. Voici la bouche la plus charmeuse, la plus pulpeuse et la plus aromatique que je connaisse sur ce cru. Il s'achève surtout avec des tannins fins. Bonne longeur.

Hélas gouté trop chaud. Il offre une couleur presque opaque. Nez très expressif, de belle qualité. Bouche pleine, harmonieuse, avec des tanins bien intégrés, au grain velouté
